Upper Palaeolithic human groups hunted lions to use their skins
The study of a set of nine phalanxes of cave lion (Panthera spelaea) with cut marks, found at the site of La Garma (Omoño, Cantabria), shows that human groups in the Upper Paleolithic hunted lions to use their skins.
